What is Shop Small, GIVE BIG?

The Shop Small, GIVE BIG campaign is an initiative of the Bemidji Downtown Alliance in working to support our small, locally owned, downtown Bemidji area businesses.

 

When is this happening?

The campaign times and lengths vary- there are multiple campaigns throughout the calendar year. For the most recent schedule, visit the Shop Small, GIVE BIG Facebook group.

 

How does it work?

  • Customers visit a participating business during the campaign timeframe.

  • All businesses will have a unique QR code (yours is attached to this email) that MUST BE PRINTED AND DISPLAYED inside of the business in which customers can easily see and scan

  • For maximum exposure, businesses should ALSO place this QR code on their website or social media

  • Customers scan the QR code using their camera app on their smartphone during their visit and enter their name and number into the app

  • After clicking “SUBMIT”, customers are automatically entered to win in a prize drawing

  • One entry PER day PER business PER participant

How do I enter the prize drawing?

I don’t have a smart phone, how do I enter for the month-end drawing?

You will need to find a friend to help you enter into the drawing if you do not have a smart phone/device! Perhaps someone at the business will even be willing to help you enter the drawing!

Agreement and Terms​​
  • No purchase necessary for participants to enter into the drawing

  • Participating businesses should be located within the Bemidji Downtown Alliance boundaries; no need to be a current BDA member to participate

  • The BDA will purchase prizes for the prize drawing from current BDA members (the 2020-21 membership year is pay-what-you-can!) Join today!

  • Prizes may not be redeemed for cash.

  • All business participants MUST follow the State and CDC guidelines for COVID protection. If a business is not following these guidelines, they will be disqualified from participating.

  • By participating in the marketing campaign, your business name, logo and website link will be featured on the Bemidji Downtown Alliance website
